About Martha Bartfeld

I was born in New York City on November 24, 1916 and attained a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from Hunter College in 1937 at the age of 20.

During the winter of 1968, I created 200 geometric designs as a hobby, under the impression I was just compass-doodling, then packed them away until New Year's Day of 1994, when I showed them to a friend who, upon examination, exclaimed: "Martha, these are mandalas!"

Making use of these mandalas, I authored and became an independent publisher of the Magic Mandala Coloring Books, which, became a best seller, won an award in the self-help category, and are published in Italy and Taipei. My newest book is How to Create Sacred Geometry Mandalas. I have also created 25 different Coloring Packets for Kids.

A new branch of my business is the Giclee Gallery of Sacred Geometry Mandalas. The giclee prints are part of my portfolio, which currently consists of approximately 400 mandalas, with more being created on a non-stop basis.

Giclee reproduction is generally accepted by art collectors, including museums, as the closest and most lightfast representation of an artist’s work at a fraction of the price of the original. Giclee prints offer detail, depth and a richness that set them apart from traditional offset lithography.

The Giclee Gallery of Sacred Geometry Mandalas is now online with 41 prints available in a variety of sizes to fit any decor. Each giclee is printed in limited editions of 300, and is hand-signed, numbered, dated, and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
