Last November 24th I celebrated my 93rd birthday by planning a new mandala coloring project in the most ambitious format I've ever attempted. Judging by the enthusiastic comments of those in whom
I confided my plan; your patience will be rewarded as soon as you see the final result.
As to Martha's Monday Morning Magic Mandala--a free service I offer to anyone who enjoys coloring my mandalas--it has become quite popular. Many people forward copies of the mandalas to friends and relatives in foreign countries. If you would like to receive one free mandala every Monday, just send me your email address and tell me the city and country in which you reside, and also how you learned about my mandalas. If ever you tire of this service, send me an email to discontinue.
Inasmuch as there is no language barrier involved in coloring mandalas, I have been told that my coloring books are sold around the world--in Canada, several countries in the EU, Japan, Australia, South Africa, and South America. In addition, my books are also published in Italy and Taiwan. My literary agent, Ellen Kleiner, www.blessingway.com, who represents me in negotiating the sale of publishing rights in foreign countries, told me that the publisher in Taiwan, who is a Buddhist, admitted to her that he rarely publishes anything unrelated to Buddhism, but he "feels that Martha Bartfeld's mandala coloring books will be selling for a long, long time." Quite gratifying, when I realize that I first began creating geometric mandalas in the winter of 1968 as a hobby, under the assumption I was just compass-doodling.
Dear friends, I'm relating the above not to blow my own horn, but to encourage you not to give up when you try something new but can't see where it will end. Don't discard any of your efforts, but put them away in a folder for future reference.
